I built this frame up as a dedicated road bike to compliment my DCB Explore-like gravel bike. After a few hundred miles I am very happy with it! The paint job is high quality and the finish of the frame set over all is excellent. Built up with a DCB carbon wheeleset, seat post, barand stem, along with Ultegra R8000 2x11 it looks and rides like bikes costing twice as much. Love it! Thanks Ty!
So far very happy with how my build turned out. The frame was lightweight and appeared to be made well. I purchased a wheel set also and the fast ace hubs sound awesome! Can’t wait to get it out on the trails. The only issue was slow shipping due to the USPS! Otherwise, very pleased. Ty and Jenna also had excellent customer service throughout. Will most likely end up doing a full suspension build eventually. Thanks!
Wrapping up my build with the DCB Epic and DCB carbon wheelset. 29er, medium, 1x12, lots of titanium and carbon fiber. Garbaruk cassette, Magura brakes, Tubolito tubes, Manitou shock and a long list of other goodies. Coming in at 19.8lbs w/o pedals! It's a rocket up hills and well mannered in the woods. Love it!
Bike came out to 23ibs, a little less with race tires. The bike is incredible; you rarely get everything you want out of a bike and this one certainly delivers exactly what I was looking for in a race bikes. No surprises very balanced fast climber felt like I been riding that bike for years.
Here is my aggressive single speed with dropper seatpost, under 23 ibs! Absolutely love it!!!
Frame delivered faster than expected and is great. Very stiff and a full 1.5 lbs lighter than the aluminum frame it replaced.
The bike turned out great. I'm enjoying it. I'm running it with 29x3.0 tires.
I’m very happy with how my hardtail project has turned out. I wanted to build an XC hardtail that is closer to the trail bike end of the spectrum. This bike absolutely flies up hills and with the Fox 34 fork and dropper post this bike does everything well! As pictured (size L frame with dropper post, pedals and bottle cages) it’s 10.2kg. Not the lightest bike out there, but certainly not heavy either! The standard matte finish paint job isn’t very thick and scratches easily, so I highly recommend installing some heli-tape or similar protection from day one. I used a pre-cut pack from Invisiframe made for the genuine Santa Cruz Highball 2018. It needed some trimming and modification as the geometry isn’t exactly the same as the Santa Cruz but it still worked well. I also ordered a set of DCB 29” XC wheels with DT Swiss hubs and I reckon they complement the bike well. I’ve been riding this rig for about a month now, I have to say the bike has exceeded my expectations. For the price, it’s outstanding value. Highly recommended.
