All the people giving this excellent little device lowered ratings for anything other than function, as in whether or not it works, are ignoring the price and cost comparison. I'm adapting the holder from their stand to one of my own, because it is exactly what I expected for the money; the stand is too light, lacks adjustment flexibility, and does not provide any good viewing angles. Forget about their stand and spend the money to upgrade, or use an old junky microscope, easily found for under a buck at garage sales this time of year, remove the viewer and replace it with this camera and it's value then becomes apparent. Focusing and zoom are not properly marked, which may be simply a language misunderstanding. Clarity or focus are distance related, not due to any controls on this camera. Packaging was fine; it's not a returned and repackaged item which sometimes happens with low cost items. Shipping was fast. I'm very pleased with this purchase.
Nice instrument. Easily connected to phone or to a computer. High quality, versatile and precise tool. This microscope is pretty powerful for this price. It can be used for school projects or for serious scientific research purposes. It is definitely worth its price and I do recommend it!
Delivered quickly. Increases normally. On the computer driver installed from the CD (Folder "Windows drive"), then, the very Run for viewing is "hvcap" (installation in the folder "AMCAP"). Also, I installed the Android version-it gives a good image via a USB adapter. Good microscope for this money. The drawback is an unstable platform.
The driver/software install for the Magnification Endoscope is a breeze, and I was connected and using it within minutes from unboxing. I have used it to inspect and repair bent CPU pins on motherboards, which is a far easier task to do with this scope vs. using a magnifying glass. The built-in snapshot (screenshot capture) and quick zoom buttons work great as well. The only minor complaint I have is with the fine adjust as it is quite sensitive, so getting things in focus isn't tricky really but you do need to have a soft touch to turn the focus mechanism only very slightly. The stand is flexible and adjustable so I am able to twist, turn and angle the scope easily. Overall, I'm very pleased with the durability and ease of use of this scope especially at a very affordable price. I imagine I will find other uses for this scope, too, but for now I plan to hand make some sort of overhead contraption to retain the scope so I do not need to rely on the stand and be able to pan the camera around easily overhead what I'm working on like a motherboard.
